Our Mission

FaithLife Homes, LLC was created out of FaithLife Church in 2023.
Our mission is to address the need for affordable housing in our community with a relational ministry component. This includes a potential pathway to home ownership creating a generational change for a family while contributing to the wellbeing of the Wellington Heights neighborhood.

Our long term goals:

  • Create generational change with the opportunity for home ownership.

  • To be a self sustaining mission that is just one small piece of supporting Wellington Heights Community Church’s desire for a flourishing neighborhood.

What We Do

FaithLife Homes, LLC has created a sustainable low cost rental program that includes a pathway to homeownership. It involves education and partnerships with local non-profits to create flourishing neighborhoods, creating a change for families for generations.

FaithLife Homes, LLC believes homeownership should be a reality for the hardworking families in our community, but today, that dream is slipping out of reach. In Cedar Rapids, IA the average home price has climbed to nearly $239,000, requiring an annual income of at least $68,000. This creates a massive barrier, as 53% of our residents earn less than that threshold. With new construction starting at $285,000, buying a brand-new home is no longer a viable option for the working poor.

As of February 2025, FaithLife Homes, LLC has purchased three total properties. One property is completely renovated with a long-term tenant.
